FIRA Updates Childcare Product Classification Guidance
Is it a toy, a piece of children's furniture, or something else entirely? It's a question we hear often, and it's not always as straightforward as it sounds. That’s why we've updated our Childcare Product Classification Guidance to make the answer clearer for you.
The revised resource reflects current Great Britain legislation, including the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 and UKCA marking requirements, and replaces outdated EU references with guidance that's fully aligned with today's regulatory landscape.
We've also made the guidance easier to follow, with clearer explanations of the differences between toys, children's furniture and other childcare products.
