Irish Flammability Regulations Update

On 10th June 2025, the Irish Government released a public consultation regarding the Irish Furniture Fire Regulations.

Currently, the regulations in Ireland are aligned with existing UK Regulations, with only minor differences.

The consultation is exploring two potential options:

  1. To maintain the current regulations
  2. To repeal the regulations and rely on the EU General Product Safety Regulations

The consultation closes on July 11, 2025. FIRA members who may be impacted by any changes are encouraged to submit their responses.
