Preparing for the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and Digital Product Passports (DPPs)
In July 2024, the European Union introduced the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) (EU 2024/1781), replacing the previous Ecodesign Directive (2009/125/EC). This new regulation is a cornerstone of the EU’s 2020 Circular Economy Action Plan, aiming to make products more sustainable throughout their lifecycle.
