Assured Advice from Hertfordshire Trading Standards

A key feature of FIRA's Compliance Scheme for the Fire Performance of Upholstered Furniture, which launched in January 2018, is the 'Assured Advice' element, which is provided by Hertfordshire Trading Standards. Any Assured Advice given as part of the scheme may be relied upon in the event of a difference in interpretation of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 by UK enforcement bodies.

The most recent request for Assured Advice under the scheme was regarding the validity of overseas test reports.
