Office & Contract Furniture Technical Forum

This free event is an ideal opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers and specifiers of office and contract furniture to get up to date with all the technical issues affecting the industry.

Key topics include:

  • An introduction to the new version of the dimensional standard for Office work chairs, BS EN 1335-1:2000 Office furniture. Office work chair. Dimensions. Determination of dimensions, including a demonstration of the new CMD (chair measurement device), an explanation of the new chair measurement method and how it could affect your products.
  • An update on the Machinery Directive on how it affects motorised furniture, and the work to develop harmonised standards for these products.
  • A full update on standard development, including a revision of BS 6396:2008+A1:2015. Electrical systems in office furniture and educational furniture. Specification for cable management systems and changes to office storage standards
