UKCA Marking Guidance for members updated

The Furniture Industry Research Association’s UKCA Marking Guide, which was first published in December 2020, has been refreshed and updated to incorporate changes following the Government announcement to extend the implementation date for manufacturers to adopt the UK Conformity Assessment (UKCA) mark for goods placed in the UK market.

It’s key to note that there are a couple of pieces of legislation that the government says they are looking to introduce in the future, including labelling easement and reducing re-certification / retesting costs for UKCA marking. Manufacturers will now have the flexibility to choose between UKCA and CE markings until 31st December 2024. Full details about the changes and their implementation can be found in the newly updated guide which is exclusively for members of the Research Association.
