Report from European Standards meeting – Stability of seating
A meeting of the European Standards Committee developing test method standards for furniture, CEN TC 207 WG9, recently met in Nuremberg. The working group, chaired by FIRA’s Phil Reynolds met to discuss a proposed draft revision of EN 1022 Furniture. Seating. Determination of stability.
FIRA Quarterly Standards Update Report - June 2016
The end of May heralded the annual CEN standards plenary meeting for furniture where forthcoming work items are agreed and progress on existing European Standards development is assessed. In addition, an International Standards meeting for furniture is scheduled to be held in Denmark.
New Standards Meeting Report from Europe
A meeting of the Standards Committee responsible for producing furniture standards, CEN TC207, was recently held in Paris.
The meeting was wide ranging covering current and future development of standards for furniture, as well as an EU approach to developing International Standards (ISO).
