On June 16, Phil Reynolds, Chief Operating Officer of the Furniture Industry Research Association, announced he was stepping down. Alongside his COO role, Reynolds was also Technical Development Manager for FIRA International, the service provider to the Research Association.

Speaking on his departure, Charles Vernon, Chairman of the Furniture Industry Research Association, said “For over a decade Phil has been a great advocate and influential figure for the Research Association, culminating in his role as Chief Operating Officer from March 2019. I’d like to thank him, on behalf of all members, and the council, for the dedication he has shown in not only representing them, but the wider views of the furniture sector.

“As announced in January 2020 I will be stepping down as Chairman of the Research Association in September, after extending my tenure by a further two years. I am excited by the plans I leave in place, and feel we’ve made good steps in bringing us to a place where we’re more relevant then ever for the industry, in some unprecedented times. Over the coming months we’ll be announcing our new Chair and setting out Research Association plans for 2021 and beyond, all supported by our service provider, FIRA International.”
