​Furniture Manufacturer Apprenticeship Standard implementation workshop

The Occupational Awards Limited is running an apprenticeship implementation workshop on 12 July in Nottingham. This free event is designed to support employers, training providers and colleges embarking on the new furniture apprenticeship standard.

The apprenticeship standard and assessment plan replaced previous frameworks from 1 December 2016 as part of the Government’s apprenticeship reform programme to make apprenticeships more rigorous and more responsive to employers.

Workshop content

The event will cover what you need to know and how you can prepare for the provision of the furniture manufacturer standard, this will include:

  • recruitment of apprentices and IAG provision
  • initial assessment and planning of learning and assessment
  • use of qualifications to support provision of the standard
  • progress, progress, progress
  • embedding English and mathematics
  • grading and moderation of qualifications
  • the gateway and preparation for end-point assessment.
