The Furniture Industry Research Association, in conjunction with Lighthouse Safety Training, are hosting a session on the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). The session will run from 09.00-14.30 on Tuesday 6 June at the Research Association’s facilities in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
The CDM 2015 regulations aim to improve health and safety in the construction industry. Virtually everyone involved in a construction project has legal duties under CDM 2015, whether work is being carried out for commercial or domestic clients. The scope of CDM 2015 applies to designers, principal designers, principal contractors, contractors and workers.
The June event, which is more tailored towards designers and installers of kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, is free to FIRA members. Although non-members are welcome to attend for a delegate fee of £250+VAT.
The agenda includes a focus on what the new regulations are and what has happened since implementation, the changes and potential pit falls for businesses, including sentencing guidelines for breaches of CDM 2015, alongside the opportunity for questions.
Those wishing to secure a place on 6 June should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01438 777 700. As places are limited it’s advisable to book as soon as possible.
