Fellowes’ Levado™ Height Adjustable Desk recognised for ergonomics excellence
Fellowes’ Levado™ Height Adjustable Desk has been recognized with an Ergonomics Excellence Award from FIRA International. The award came following an evaluation of the product by FIRA International’s ergonomics experts which included user trials and testing to BS EN ISO 9241-5:1999 Ergonomic requirements for office work with visual display terminals (VDTs).
The Levado™ Desk has a height adjustable range of 640mm-1257mm, and using the control pad takes under 18 seconds to adjust to its highest setting from its lowest. Up to four settings can be pre-programmed. The desking system has a collision detecting sensor and accelerometer which stops the desk’s operation when encountering an obstruction, the desk then rises 25mm to enable the obstruction to be removed. Similarly, exerting excess downward force on the desk top stops it from operating.
Speaking on the FIRA International Ergonomics Excellence Award, Louise Shipley, Workspace Management/Furniture Business Team Leader at Fellowes said, “We want people to be the best they can be by being more productive, happier and healthier. That's why we created Levado, to encourage desk users to add movement to their working day. As such it’s very rewarding to see Levado being acknowledged with a FIRA Ergonomics Excellence Award.
“In addition to its ergonomic properties, Levado has a host of intelligent features including a ‘SwiftLok™’ system which incorporates pre-assembled legs that lock into place with no tools needed, making installation very quick and simple. The Levado also features VersaTop™ Clamps, which enable the tool free attachment of any existing or new desktop to the base, giving choice and flexibility to the consumer.”
