BSI Mirror Committee - chain of custody updates
The BSI Mirror Committee recently met to discuss the development of ISO/PC 308 - chain of custody standard.
The proposed standard is intended to provide a straightforward and consistent approach to the implementation and management of a chain of custody in a supply chain. It also aims to provide a framework for the development of sector-specific standards for chains of custody, including guidance on when specific models may be appropriate.
During the meeting the committee drafted a response to the proposed scope of the generic chain of custody standard. Furthermore they rejected the proposal to exclude timber and timber products from the generic standard.
