British Furniture Confederation Launch New 'Plan for Growth'

The British Furniture Confederation (BFC) has launched its Plan for Growth to support the UK's furniture, furnishings, and flooring (FFF) sector. This strategic initiative highlights the importance of government collaboration and support to foster growth and resilience within an industry that contributes over £41 billion to the UK economy and supports 260,000 jobs.
The document will be circulated widely to government departments, Ministers and MPs within parliament and form the basis of the BFC's ongoing engagement with government, both directly and with the support of the industry's All Party Parliamentary Group, chaired by Adam Thompson. MP for Erewash.
The plan focuses on four key areas:
- Skills and Education
- Trade and Exports
- Standards and Regulations
- Environment and Circular Economy
The goal is to enhance the sector's manufacturing, innovation, and sustainability through government support, improved policies, and collaboration, ensuring that the FFF sector remains globally competitive.
