BFM partner on Supportability project

The BFM is now, in conjunction with partners, undertaking a project entitled Supportability.

The projects core aim is to provide resources that will enable a whole SME sector, namely Furniture, to embrace the relevant policies and ensure that people living with disability can secure long-term employment in an industrial sector, through its SMEs being able to supply the support they require. The project therefore seeks to develop resources to meet the needs of individuals/industry and to enable this the project needs to first determine the current position for the furniture manufacturing sector, regarding the resources they have available to use when employing people living with disability.

The partners have developed the survey to establish how different groups (including manufacturers and workers who live with disability) with a stake in the issue, feel about this. The information will then be used to establish resources that can facilitate better capacity in SME’s to support people living with disability.

Your thoughts would be welcome in this regard and therefore the partners ask if you can complete the following survey:

http://supportability-community.questionpro.com

On entering the survey, on the first page, you will have the option to choose a version in English, Spanish, Portuguese or Turkish. Please choose the language with which you are most familiar, and you will be directed to that.

We would very much appreciate you taking the time to do this: your contribution will be invaluable for making the changes that need to be made to improve access to manufacturing employment for all people so SMEs can draw on talent from across the whole of their local community

If you have any questions about the survey, please do not hesitate to contact Jackie Bazeley - jackie.bazeley@bfm.org.uk , or Robin Beecroft - rbeecroft@searchlighter.org
