BA Components have achieved their second FIRA Gold Product Certification for their General Domestic Kitchen Range. This follows on from a previous Gold certification for their Kitchen Doors and Panels originally awarded in June 2010.

To achieve FIRA Gold, BA Clic Components’ general domestic kitchen range was assessed against specified durability levels through rigorous tests conducted by FIRA International. In addition to the performance tests, they were also subject to a factory audit before they could receive FIRA Gold certification. The audit ensures that all manufacturing processes are in line with expected industry standards.

What makes this particular range from BA Clic Components unique is the design allows the cabinet components to ‘click’ together, which negates the need for fixings and glue tools or screws. For the installer this helps cut down assembly time and for the consumer gives a sturdy cabinet to withstand the demands placed on it.

Speaking on the Gold certification, David Caulfield, Sales & Marketing Director at BA Components, said “Kitchen units are a big consideration for consumers and expectations are high. Not only do they want a stylish design, but they expect a quality finish alongside sturdy construction, giving a kitchen which will stand the demands placed on it. As such FIRA Gold enables us to stand out and demonstrate our quality through third party certification.”

Phil Reynolds, General Manager at FIRA International, said “Alongside the results of the physical tests confirming the quality of BA Components’ Kitchen Doors and Panels, the factory audit highlighted the quality of the quality management systems which are in place. These showed a heavy emphasis on key performance indicators - giving a good benchmark to monitor performance and standards. For all these reasons we are pleased to present further FIRA Gold certification.”

In addition to the new FIRA Gold Certification, FIRA International also confirmed that BA Components also passed their planned audit for their previous Gold Certification for Kitchen Door and Panels which was originally awarded in June 2010. The next audit is due in 2021 to ensure that the high standards required under FIRA Gold continue to be met.

Alongside BA Components there are also a further 42 organisations from across the furniture supply chain who hold a FIRA Gold certification for products (including bathroom, bedroom, components, kitchen, office, upholstery and worktop products) and 13 organisations who hold FIRA Gold for their installation services.

Details on how to become a FIRA Gold holder are available from, which also includes a full list of current holders.
