BA Clic Components recognised with FIRA Gold Certification
BA Clic Components have achieved the highest FIRA Gold Product Certification for their ClicBox range of kitchen cabinets. The new certification is for Level H, or Heavy Domestic Use, based around BS 6222-2:2009+A1:2017. Domestic kitchen equipment. Fitted kitchen units, peninsular units, island units and breakfast bars. Performance requirements and test methods.
The newest certificationfollows on from previous FIRA International certification in early 2018 when the ClicBox kitchen cabinet range achieved Level G, or General Domestic Use. Level H is defined for heavy use and is the highest cabinet accreditation for furniture cabinet construction, workmanship and fitness. This level is often included in large domestic construction contract projects whereby the cabinets will be subject to heavy use and where users are not expected to exercise care.
Speaking on the additional conformity, Howard James, Testing Operations Manager, at FIRA International said “Going up to Level H meant that the ClicBox kitchen cabinet range was assessed against specified durability levels through rigorous tests conducted by our team of structural experts at FIRA International. The base and wall cabinets were subject to separate tests to assess their strength, durability and safety, as they are often used in demanding environments.”
Commenting on attaining the highest level of FIRA Gold certification, Nick Corlett, CEO at BA Clic Components, said “We are delighted that our ClicBox kitchen cabinet range has been independently or we say certified and awarded Level H. This gives BA another reason to reassure our customers that our ClicBox cabinets are among the best in the industry, not only being audited by impartial experts but certified for their quality.”
ClicBox cabinets has a unique patented design that allows the cabinet components to ‘click’ together when assembling very quickly. This not only negates the need for tools and screws but also makes for very sturdy construction in the kitchen fitting sector.
Nick also said “When we received FIRA Gold for Level G we were eager to push the ClicBox cabinet range further and look at achieving Level H. We felt confident that it would withstand the additional testing conducted by FIRA Interational. This has now been demonstrated by the most trusted third party certification organisation in our industry, which we are very proud to hold. This prestigious certification sets the benchmark high and for other cabinet manufacturers to follow.”
Alongside BA Clic Components there are also a further 42 organisations from across the furniture supply chain who hold a FIRA Gold certification for products (including bathroom, bedroom, components, kitchen, office, upholstery and worktop products) and 13 organisations who hold FIRA Gold for their installation services.
