Born in Kenya but schooled in England, Rodney has a degree in economics from Exeter University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
From his finance background he quickly moved to a management role, then property development led to an interest in interior design which in turn led to the acquisition of Morgan.
Rodney has developed and revitalised the organisation in the last 25 years, from a company of 8 employees to one totalling 80, with a major position as a leader in the contract market.
He takes an active interest in the furniture industry as a whole and is keen to contribute to shaping its vision for the future, particularly through training and involvement with the trade.
Rodney is Finance Director and Past Chairman of the British Contract Furnishing & Design Association, former assistant to, and Honorary Treasurer of The Furniture Makers Company and current Chairman of the Design Guild Mark; he is a Fellow of the RSA; and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Edward Barnsley Educational Trust - devoted to training apprentice cabinetmakers.
