Jonathan-Hindle-tie.png#asset:26731:urlJonathan is a chartered designer who graduated in 1982 and was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers in 2007. He initially worked for leading architectural practices, Michael Aukett Associates and Heery & Heery on workplace projects for companies such as IBM, Boots, Merrill Lynch, Citibank and Esso.

After a period with Officescape Ltd and Facility Group designing and marketing interior furnishing and fit-out solutions, Jonathan moved to the board of Rosehaugh Plc, a leading property company in 1988. As Group Marketing Director, he led new initiatives in the marketing of major new developments in the City of London, such as Broadgate and Ludgate.

Jonathan then took up a fresh challenge to manage and develop Maine Engineering Ltd - a UK manufacturer of steel equipment and furniture to the corporate office, oil and marine industries including the Royal Navy. This period saw the design and development of many new and innovative furniture and storage products, which are the generic benchmarks for leading office environments today.

The last 24 years have been spent founding and building the EMEA operations of KI (Krueger International). KI is an employee owned company and global leader in the manufacture of contract furniture. The company has 3,000 employees worldwide and a turnover of circa US$1 billion.

Jonathan sits on the Boards/ Committees of the principal industry trade associations, in March 2016 he became the Chairman of the British Furniture Confederation (BFC). The BFC maintains regular dialogue with Government and other influential stakeholders to ensure that all policies and initiatives support a thriving furniture, furnishings and bed sector. Many of its activities are channelled through the All Party Parliamentary Furniture Industry Group (APPFIG).

Jonathan joined the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, the City Livery Company and charity for the furnishing industry in 1997 and has served on many committees. He was also the founding chairman of the Design Guild Mark, corporate membership and fundraising. He served as Master in 2013-2014.

Jonathan is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Upholders and the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars. He is an active supporter of a number of charities including Hodgkins Lymphoma/ CLIC Sargent, Save the Children and his respective Livery charities. He is a golf and tennis player.
