New Case Study: Newton Nursery
Flexiform collaborated with Oberlanders Architects to transform Forestry and Land Scotland’s Newton Nursery offices—a tree nursery supporting timber production and woodland creation across Scotland—delivering a wide range of sustainable office furniture tailored to the project.
Our in-house space planning team overlaid existing architectural drawings with the client’s selected Flexiform furniture, producing accurate layouts and static rendered visuals to support informed design decisions. Flexiform’s Jemma Ryan also presented a curated selection of products and design solutions within our showroom, ensuring the scheme aligned with the client’s objectives of enhancing staff wellbeing and meeting sustainability targets.
The completed workspace features Fira International's tested and certified Jot-Up Lite fully electric height-adjustable desks, paired with breathable mesh-back adjustable task chairs and upholstered desk privacy screens to improve acoustic comfort and personal space. Additional FIRA-tested and certified furniture includes Freestor six-door Accent metal lockers and a Parq bench meeting table.
As a British office furniture manufacturer, Flexiform is committed to reducing carbon emissions. The project incorporates our new Cote office sofa, designed without the use of glue, allowing for easy dismantling and 100% recyclability at the end of its life. Worktops used throughout the space contain 76% recycled content and are fully recyclable, while steel components are sourced from Welsh Mills, and include 25% recycled content and can be recycled indefinitely without loss of strength. Meeting rooms were also furnished with plant-based, organic chairs and tables made from hemp and flax, further supporting the client’s net zero and sustainability ambitions.
