Childcare Products Testing

The safety of children is of the utmost importance and one of the primary concerns when buying any product, especially if that product is specifically intended for a child.

People want reassurance that their children will not be placed in potentially hazardous situations when using products such as Pushchairs, High chairs, Changing Units, Cradles, Cots and Cribs, Carry cots and Stands, Beds that are supposed to aid their care. One of the best ways to provide this reassurance is to have a product independently tested.

FIRA performs safety and structural testing of a wide variety of childcare articles and related children’s products to both British and European Standards.

We aim to help make the process of understanding regulations and legislation, such as the General Product Safety Directive (GPSD), and how they relate to your product more simple, by offering expert advice and information alongside testing services. This knowledge and expertise, combined with our consultancy and research, enables us to work productively with manufacturers and retailers in developing safe and functional products.
