csl become the latest furniture retailer to join The Furniture Ombudsman

The Furniture Ombudsman are pleased to welcome furniture retailer csl to its list of members.

csl, who were featured on Mary Portas Channel 4 programme 'Secret Shopper' is the latest organisation to join the Ombudsman.

The Furniture Ombudsman aims to inspire consumer confidence in both the furniture and home improvements industries and offers an impartial and independent dispute resolution service for both consumers and furniture retailers.

Recognised by the European Commission, The Furniture Ombudsman works in partnership with Consumer Direct and is a corporate affiliate member of the Trading Standards Institute.  All of the Ombudsman's case workers are professionally qualified by The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and it is overseen by an independent Standards Board which is chaired by the Head of Hertfordshire Trading Standards.

Kevin Grix, Head of The Furniture Ombudsman said "I am delighted to welcome csl into our growing list of Full Members.  csl's membership to the Ombudsman demonstrates an additional commitment to their consumers and goes some distance in emphasising the importance that they are placing on being a responsible furniture retailer.  It is pleasing that another major retailer in the furniture industry has pledged their support to our aims and objectives in raising standards."

Jason Tyldesley, Managing Director of csl said, "We have decided to join TFO to show our commitment to the consumer. We want our customers to feel confident that when they buy a csl product they will receive optimum products and services; before, during and after the sale.  We are looking forward to working with the Furniture Ombudsman and striving to continually improve our standards."
