5 million hits for askFIRA

Launched in January 2006, this site notched up its 5 millionth hit in February 2008, representing an average of almost 200,000 a month.

Visitors from nearly 150 territories have visited the site, including Tuvalu, Niue and Christmas Island – which have a combined population of just 15,000.

The rapidly increasing number of hits is testament to the fact that the site content reflects industry’s needs. However, we recognise that we must never rest on our laurels and will constantly review, update and innovate so that we can continue to increase our hit rate and attract more and more users.

“For example, the site’s metatags have been radically revised in the last week, which should help attract more traffic from search engines, as they use the hidden words which describe a site as one of their search criteria.”
