Two more strike Gold!
Egger (UK) Ltd and AFI Group Limited are the latest companies to achieve the FIRA Gold Award.
EGGER (UK) Ltd manufactures and distributes kitchen worktops, and this is the second time it has achieved the Gold standard. Having first attained the Award in 2002 for its Euroform plastic laminate domestic kitchen worktop, its latest acheivement is for the Eurolight domestic kitchen worktops, which are a significant introduction for the kitchen industry. These worktops are lightweight (55% lighter than standard chipboard 38mm worktops) and due to their weight are easier to handle, transport and install. The rigid honeycomb core and sandwich construction means there is no compromise in stability or quality.
AFI Group Limited, manufacturers of office furniture, have been awarded FIRA Gold for the Stealth and Pricepoint cantilever range of desking, Stealth bench furniture, steel and wooden pedestals, and storage furniture. To achieve the FIRA Gold Award a product (or service or range) has to meet all the relevant requirements of the furniture industry’s latest standards, whether they be British, European, International or FIRA’s own. Products are tested by FIRA's experts for suitability in terms of strength, stability, materials, flammability, cable management and ergonomics where appropriate. Gold Award holders are assessed annually. Rather than a quality systems audit, which ensure consistency of product (but do not differentiate between a good or bad product), FIRA audits are solely focused on the product, and when combined with regular audit testing, ensures ongoing product quality. For further information on how you can go for Gold and achieve the ultimate mark of product excellence within the furniture industry, please contact Mike Anstiss on Tel: 01438 777700 or e-mail |
