Award Sales Development ManagerWe have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Certification/Award Sales/Development Manager for FIRA International. Flammability ExpertWe have an exciting opportunity for a consistent and accurate individual to join our team as a Flammability Expert for FIRA International. The job purpose is to become the expert in flammability in relation to furniture and deliver this knowledge and expertise to the industry and it’s stakeholders via paid services and behalf of the membership of FIRA. The key duties/responsibilities for this role include:
You will need to degree qualified in the relevant technical discipline, have excellent organisation skills, work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative to take responsibility to prioritise and manage tasks. Health, Safety and Environment ConsultantAn addition to our established Consultancy team is required to provide advice and support to companies in the furniture and woodworking industries. You will maintain a legal update service, undertake assessments and audits and contribute to the expansion of the services offered by the team. You should be an enthusiastic self-starter with good interpersonal skills and be willing to help drive and define this evolving role. Ideally the candidate will have a NEBOSH certificate and be willing to progress toward Full IOSH Membership. A good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation in manufacturing industries is necessary and some experience with environmental management systems would be preferred. Although based at company headquarters in Stevenage, travelling throughout the UK will be involved so a flexible approach to work and a full driving licence is required. Salary will be competitive and negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience. Project ManagerFIRA International Ltd’s success is based on our ability to research, create, develop and deliver new technologies and services within the furniture supply chain. To enhance this unique position we are seeking a dynamic individual with scientific and technical capabilities combined with project management skills. You will initially be responsible for working on our patented medium density fibreboard (MDF) recycling technology, which is nearing commercial completion and for developing technologies and markets for recycled wood fibres. In addition you will be expected to work within our small but focussed technical team to develop and manage projects that will deliver profitable opportunities both for our own business and for our clients. You will have a good honours degree or equivalent in a scientific, environmental or engineering discipline and are likely to have a post-graduate qualification or relevant industrial experience. The ability to prepare project bids and to operate within a team environment will also be essential requisites.
