FIRA reinvigorates Innovation Award
Italiana Ferramenta wins with new range of
cabinet hangers
FIRA's Innovation Award has been given a new lease of life, with new guidelines and a completely new look, as part of the organisation's aim to encourage new creativity and thinking in the furniture industry. First off the blocks to receive this new-look award is Italiana Ferramenta S.r.l, which specialises in producing high quality accessories and ironmongery for the furniture industry, and gained the Award for its LIBRA H1 range of cabinet hangers and wall plates. 
"The Innovation Award provides a number of key benefits, for both our customers and our business," said Luigi Rossetto, sales manager at Italiana Ferramenta. "It has certified the innovation and rewarded both the intuitive thinking and research required to develop the product. It will assist our company in accelerating market penetration and aid sales through raising the credibility of the product and reassuring customers that the product has been fully tested and is fit-for-purpose."
The Award offers companies a competitive advantage through differentiation, underlining the uniqueness and usability of the product, and positioning the business at the forefront of leading edge creativity in the furniture industry. Successful products are able to use the FIRA Innovation Award logo for marketing purposes.
All items entered for the Innovation Award must be unique, and applicants are required to provide full details of how their product differs from anything else on the market. Key areas on which the judges focus are: innovation, safety and how well the product performs in use.
