FIRA at Interiors UK 2012

Plans are well underway for FIRA to exhibit at Interiors UK 2012, the UK's largest interiors trade exhibition, taking place at Birmingham NEC from 22 to 25 January 2012.

FIRA will be showcasing FIRA Gold Certification, the mark of excellence for furniture products, components and installation at the exhibition, as well as sharing details of the FIRA Service Technicians service and FIRA Membership.

FIRA can be found on stand C58, in Hall 2 within the British Furniture Confederation (BFC) lounge alongside BCFA, IDA, NBF, LOFA, AMU, Proskills, BPF and The Furniture Ombudsman, an organisation which aims to inspire consumer confidence within the furniture industry.

Jon Walters, Service Delivery Manager for The Furniture Ombudsman, will be leading a seminar at the show, presenting the challenges facing businesses in the current economic climate, in relation to consumer expectation.

Speaking of the seminar, Jon said, "While often understanding their basic legal obligations in contractual disputes, businesses are finding that consumers have higher than ever expectations in relation to the remedies they should receive. The seminar will explore this challenge, and outline some of the key concepts of the relevant consumer law, as well as present examples of how businesses face these challenges."

To provide context and examples, Jon will be joined by Ellen Morgan, Legal Compliance Manager for B&Q Plc.

The seminar, titled Customer Expectation vs Legal Obligation, will be held on Monday 23rd January at 3.30pm.
