FIRA and The Furniture Ombudsman to exhibit at Kbb Birmingham
FIRA and The Furniture Ombudsman will be exhibiting at Kbb Birmingham from March 4- 7 at Birmingham NEC on stand N81 in Hall 18.
FIRA will be showcasing its array of furniture services at the exhibition, including the FIRA Gold Certification scheme, the mark of excellence for furniture products, components and installation.
Details of the benefits of FIRA membership will also be shared at the event as well as information regarding FIRA's well-known furniture testing facilities and the FIRA Service Technicians service.
The Furniture Ombudsman will join the FIRA team to share information on the work they do to inspire consumer confidence within the furniture industry through its independent dispute resolution service, range of courses regarding consumer law and membership scheme.
FIRA will host two seminars at this year's exhibition. The first, to be held at 11am on Monday 5 March will be led by Sue Calver, FIRA Project Manager. Sue will talk through the project findings of a FIRA funded study for Blum that looked into how real-life kitchens are used and the impact this has on the design, manufacture and installation of furniture fittings.
The second seminar will introduce the FIRA Specifiers Guide, a new service for furniture specifiers being offered by FIRA. The new Guide, due to be launched in May 2012 is being designed to assist furniture specifiers in selecting non-domestic and contract furniture, to ensure that the furniture is fit for the intended purpose. The seminar is being led by Dr Asli Tamer Vestlund, FIRA Deputy Technical Manager at 2pm on 6th March.
FIRA will be amongst over 300 other exhibitors at the exhibition which is visited by large numbers of contractors, tradesmen, installers, clients, architects, specifiers, buyers and distributors.
FIRA is also sponsoring the award for Kitchen Designer of the Year -project cost up to £30,000, at the annual Kbb Review awards to be held on the evening of Monday 5 March. The prestigious annual event is now in its 18th year, recognising outstanding retailers and designers in the kitchen and bathroom industry.
