Julius Blum GmbH is based in Austria was established in the 1950's and since then has become the leading supplier of concealed hinges, drawers and drawer runner systems throughout the world. This has been achieved through a long history of innovative design and constant reinvestment into technology and skills. With both subsidiaries and agents in over 80 countries across the globe, and 92% of production going into export, Blum have perfected he art of efficient and speedy distribution – gaining a reputation for being one of the most reliable suppliers to the furniture industry.

The company presently has a turnover of approximately €900 million per annum (equivalent to approx £620 million) and continues to grow as new markets adopt the European methods of cabinet construction. Blum UK – a wholly owned subsidiary of Blum Austria – was established in 1988 and took over the entire sales, marketing and distribution in the UK and Northern Ireland. UK turnover has increased dramatically in the last 17 years with the total sales exceeding £45 million pa.

Blum’s latest concepts (such as DYNAMIC SPACE) and products (such as BLUMOTION – controlled closing systems for drawers and doors, ORGA-LINE – division systems for drawers and CLIP top – our latest hinge program) have firmly put Blum on the map as leading innovators and suppliers of furniture hardware.
