Visual Management

Visual Management

Visual management is used to show how we are managing and measuring our business. Any process has inputs that can be controlled using visual management.

The outputs can display performance, method, layout and status of a production cell in a clear, simple visual form.

Examples of how to control the inputs.  This image shows how coloured lines can speed up the set-up of the machine for different parts. The jigs for the machine are also coloured to match the settings.

Work in progress can only be put in the designated area controlled by the hatching. Filling up this area is a signal to the operator to stop production and move to another process.
